The Compiler is very easy to use for a wide variety of applications.  There are 3 main areas of the App to understand.

  1. 1. The Main Idea and Sub Points page

  2. 2. The Notepad

  3. 3. The Compiler

To start...

Open the App.

To start a new notebook (project or assignment) tap the ‘+’ button.

You can then tap on the title and name your new notebook.

Now you’re ready to begin... Tap on the ‘Notebook’.

  1. 1.The Main Idea and Sub Points page.

The text box at the top of the page is where you can write your ‘main idea’ (or project title, meeting name, essay or speech title etc).  Simply Tap and type.

Once you’ve done that you’ll see the ‘add sub point’ button at the bottom right of the page.

Tap the button and add your ‘sub point’ (essay and speech points, chapter titles, people’s names, action points, agenda etc).

You can add as many ‘sub points’ as you like.

  1. 2. The Notepad

This is where you work on the content.  The notepad is very versatile, you can enter text, or use handwriting, insert photos or draw diagrams etc.

See the diagram for the various button functions.

You can choose whether you link the data to your sub points as you go or sometime later.  Linking your data to the sub points is necessary for ‘The Compiler’ to work.

To link data to your ‘sub points’...

Tap the ‘Selection’ button.  You’ll see a selection box appear around the edge of your page.  Use the circle at the bottom right corner of the selection box to size it appropriately (hold your finger on the circle and move it).  You can move the whole selection box by holding your finger in the box and sliding it in different directions.

Once you’ve selected your desired piece of data, hold your finger for 1-2 seconds on the circle at the righthand top of the selection box.  An option box will come up saying ‘To Clipping’ or ‘To Sub Point’.

Tap ‘To Sub Point’.

This will bring up a list of all your sub points.  Tap the point that you want to link the data to and then tap the ‘save’ button.

Your selected data is now linked to the chosen ‘sub point’.

Repeat as many times as you need to.  Once done tap the compiler button at the top right of screen.

3.  The Compiler

Tap the ‘Compiler’ button.

Here’s the magic.  You don’t need to do anything here.  The Compiler will present all of your data under your various ‘sub points’.  Brilliant!

You can send ‘The Compiler’ as a pdf or jpeg using the ‘setting’ button.

That’s it... Go for it!

Feel free to send feedback so we can continue to improve THE COMPILER.

Thanks.
